And What to Expect
Narcissistic Abuse
Narcissistic Abuse is perhaps most often seen in families or romantic relationships, but you may also have experienced it from friends or in the workplace. The patterns of Narcissistic Abuse have a devastating impact, and can leave you feeling broken, empty and even doubtng your own sanity.
I have a personal understanding and extensive training in Narcissistic Abuse (including Dr Ramani's Certificate). My focus is less on the abuser, but more on the impact this type of abuse has on an individual, and how to process and heal from it.
Interpersonal Abuse
This might relate to abuse or neglect that you experienced as a child, in a romantic relationship, family dynamics, work or friendship situations.

It might include physical, sexual, emotional, and/or psychological abuse.

Abuse can also take place institutionally, and certain environments might be triggering for people who have experienced abuse elsewhere. In particular, we recognise that the Family Court environment can be triggering and re-traumatising for survivors of domestic abuse, and that processing these feelings with a counsellor who "gets it" can be very helpful.
